If you have a disability or specific learning difficulty (e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia) which may impact upon your studies you should contact the Additional Learning Support service as soon as you can and ideally before you start your course.
You will need to provide comprehensive information about your needs, so please bring all available information to your appointment. This will include information about previous support you may have received at school or college, specialist reports (Consultant or Educational Psychologists) and any other information that feel is relevant.
On occasion we are able to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate individual needs. However, this is always dependent on a student’s specific circumstances and the academic and professional standards required for the course.
Some support can take time to put in place so if you don’t make us aware of your needs at an early stage, we may not be able to provide the full support to which you may be entitled.
