Resit examinations

We hope you do well in your exams and get the grades you want.

At BU we do everything we can to help you achieve just that.

It's not always possible though, for a variety of reasons.

If you don't get the results you wanted, don't despair.

Schedule and pricing

The resit period for the 2011/12 academic year is Wednesday 22 August - Friday 31 August 2012. If you are taking your resit examination at BU, the fee is £35.00 per exam. There is a charge of £55.00 per exam for resits taken abroad.

The timetable for individual exams will be available on the website from the beginning of August.

The fee can be paid in person or over the phone through the Cashier's Office (Talbot Campus) or Finance Department (Lansdowne Campus).

Overseas resits

If you need to resit your exams overseas you must arrange them with your local office of the British Council or a higher education institution with English speaking staff. Please note that at least 10 days notice is required to perform overseas exams.

Once you have obtained local permission you should contact Avril Cooper with the contact details of the relevant staff: name, postal address, email address and telephone numbers, so that we can confirm the arrangements.

Exam papers will be sent to overseas centres by courier, around a week before your exams are held.

Please note that you are responsible for covering any fees at the overseas centre as well as the fee charged by BU for overseas exams (£55.00 per exam).
