Providing access to the latest communications technology is a key element of that.
That's why the University's campus based wireless network is in the process of being upgraded to provide BU mobile IT users with a fast, secure, reliable and flexible method of accessing BU systems and the internet.

Please note this does not include updating the wireless service in the halls of residence.
The wireless network is secured through user authentication using your BU network ID and password as access control. Encryption prevents interception of communications while traveling over the wireless network.
With this you can connect to the internet and, via the Student Portal, to network drives, email and other login services including wireless printing.
Please be aware that activity on the wireless network is logged with your BU network ID. Please be sure to comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
