Traffic lights to be replaced at Cemetery Junction

Commencing 16th January 2012 works will be carried out to replace the traffic lights at Cemetery Junction, it is anticipated that this will take 4 weeks and will inevitably cause delays when travelling inter campus.

In order to enable the works the number of traffic lanes will be reduced with temporary 4-way traffic signals being required for two weeks, commencing 28th January 2012.

Bournemouth Borough Council apologise in advance for the inevitable delays and disruption and recommend that as far as possible drivers plan to take alternative routes during this period. Once the traffic signals have been switched back on, the contractor will move to the Wellington Road roundabout to make safety improvements. These works will be carried out at off-peak times in order to help reduce disruption. All works are anticipated to be completed by 26th February.
