Immigration and visa workshops
Coming from a non-EEA country, you may need to apply for a Tier 4 (General)
student visa extension during your studies. You may also want to apply for a Tier 1 (Post-study work) visa once you have completed your course.
You can get help with these visas from askBU at the following workshops.
Tier 4 (General) student visa workshops
»More information about this workshop
To the workshops you must bring a printed copy of your own Tier 4 (General) application form. You may also bring any of your supporting documents with you and check those as we talk about them.
During the workshop we explain how you should complete your application form correctly to make a valid visa application. We also explain what supporting documents you will need to send with your visa application and exactly how they should look. However, we do this as a group and therefore we are not going to be able to check your individual application and/or documents during the workshop and we may only be able to answer a limited number of questions about your individual case.
You can get your own application checked and questions answered at a one-to-one appointment. This you may only book at askBU after attending the workshop (please note that we do keep a register at the workshops and askBU will check this when you come to book you appointment).
At the workshops you will also be given a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) request form. Once you filled it in, take it to askBU with your passport and visa to request your CAS (please note that askBU only issues CAS for continuation students; new students get their CAS from the International Admissions Team).
