That's the message from SUBU, who want you to get the most from your university experience.

There are thousands of people to meet - hundreds of activities to do.

In fact, university is so much more than just getting a degree!

But what is SUBU and what do they do?

SUBU is run by students and staff to ensure that your opinions, thoughts and suggestions are strongly represented to the University, the local community and on national issues. You matter and we are here to support you.

SUBU offers three main areas of support:

Advice

We have a Student Advice Centre, which if you ever need it, offers you free and confidential advice. You can also ask questions about any aspect of life at BU on the Anonymous Uni site.

Involvement

Leadership Programme

The SUBU Leadership Programme is free to all BU students. Join now to develop your leadership potential, stand out from the rest and have that real advantage when you look for placements and jobs.

Clubs

There are over 60 SUBU clubs and societies, which cover a range of interests including: sailing, juggling, law, LEGO, beer appreciation, skiing, scuba diving, surfing and poetry

Volunteering

Join our award winning website: the-hub to get involved in volunteering

Nerve Media

We run our own TV station, radio station and have a monthly magazine, and we want you to be involved whether a complete beginner, or a pro! Visit Nerve Media to find out more

Representation

We are here to ensure that your experience is the best it can be and, if it isn't, we'll help you to get your voice heard by the highest authority at BU.

University life is challenging, fun and diverse and SUBU are here with you every step of the way, through the more tricky times and the fun times too.
